My Digital Public History Project will immerse visitors in the history of the United States Reconstruction. I have outlined how the exhibit will look in Omeka, I need to include more text, data visualizations, and primary sources but I believe it will serve as a skeleton and outline for my finished digital public history project. The section I have outlined is Johnson’s response to the amendment but that will need to be enlarged. I intend the section on Johnson’s response to include his reasons to oppose the amendment such as those included within Richardson’s public papers of the Presidents. This exhibit is a long way to completion. Nevertheless, I look forward to feedback on how to best improve my exhibit to increase audience engagement, immersion, and enjoyment while visitors learn about the past.
