The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri contains a collection of over 40,000 works of art as well as permanent and temporary exhibits throughout the year. Art ranges from impressionist paintings to sculptures and more. A few of their past temporary exhibits have included paintings and artifacts from the exhibits of Napoleon Bonaparte and Queen Nefertari. The Nelson subsequently contains art and artifacts from around the world such as European art, Native American artifacts, Japanese paintings among many other masterpieces. There is a subsequent collection of photographs that depict photography’s history from 1839 to the present. Visitors that wish to use images from the Nelson Atkins should consult with the Museum because works are listed as Creative commons License and give credit to the museum by citing the specific artwork, image, sculpture, or photograph that they intend to use along with a link to the artwork.
