The Images collection within the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. The repository contains more than 53,000 images that are open access and can be downloaded free of charge. This collection of images contains works throughout the museum. I have always been fascinated by art museums as well as historical museums. Their willingness to allow visitors to download thousands of images facilitates exploration, enjoyment, and new ideas and interests. Most of the images are in the Public Domain. Nevertheless, it is still important to list where you received the images from and give credit to the National Gallery of Art, NGA.
